Who we are
Bridging Generations is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the United States. Our programs operate in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh, in partnership with local schools and community leaders. Our EIN and mailing address are listed on the About page.
How donations are handled
- We are currently setting up online card giving through Givebutter, a third-party payment platform. Once it is live, your card information will be handled by Givebutter and will never touch our servers. In the meantime the board routes gifts by hand — write to us and we'll confirm receipt and send instructions.
- When online giving is live, tax-deductible receipts will be issued by Givebutter at the time of your gift; until then the board issues your receipt directly. U.S. tax-deduction rules apply only to U.S. taxpayers.
- Every project-designated gift is applied to the program you selected. Unrestricted gifts support the general operating fund, which covers tuition, meals, materials, and the small set of overhead costs required to run the organization.
- Recurring gifts can be modified or cancelled at any time through the link in your Givebutter receipt.
Privacy
- The contact form uses Resend to deliver your message to the board inbox. We use your email only to reply to you. We do not add you to any marketing list, we do not share it with third parties, and we do not run automated outreach on incoming messages.
- Donor records are held by Givebutter under their privacy policy. We view donor information only to acknowledge gifts and prepare annual reports.
- This site uses lightweight, cookie-free analytics to measure page views. No personal information is collected.
Photography and student likenesses
- Student portraits appear on this site only where a signed release is on file.
- If you are a student, parent, or guardian and you wish to revoke a photo release, contact us. The photo will be removed within a few business days on the next deploy.
Intellectual property
- Text and photographs on this site are the property of Bridging Generations, its authors, or the photographers they commissioned. Please ask before reusing them.
- Quoted testimonials and stories appear with the source's permission.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the home page for a week following the update.
